Should You Have an AED in Your Facility

An AED, or automated external defibrillator, can save the life of someone in your fitness facility, but most health centers don’t have one. They cite either the cost of the device (price varies by make and mode; most cost around $3,500), the time and cost of training, or simply lack of knowledge about what it is and how it can save a life. This trend is changing, however, and more fitness facilities are deciding to have an AED at their facility. Government Warnings on Cigars Will be Hazardous to the Public’s Health

Responding to the dramatic increase in cigar smoking in the United States in recent years, the Federal Trade Commission recommended last week that Congress mandate health warning labels on cigar packs — similar to those on packs of cigarettes.

But some of you may not believe me. She DID, however, say this in the episode after the old people were discussing the younger idiots. “…because this place can just FILL our spirits so much… There’s so much that can be taken away from here and just, you know, try not to let them get to you because that’s what they want to do.”

Maybe my biggest problem with this crap is that I’ve always had a problem with people giving advice. Most of the time, it’s just useless. Try not to let them get to you. “Oh wow! Thanks Linda. Until you said that, I was planning on letting them get to me. Thank you SO much!” (more…)
