Either way, if the paint and upholstery are in decent shape, do yourself a big favor: spend $50-100 to have it “detailed” – that is, professionally cleaned by a place that buffs and waxes and vacuums and treats the vinyl. (more…)

Memorize the location where your car is parked. Never activate your car alarm to locate where your car is- this will only alert anyone else who is within the vicinity.

Park your car as close as possible to the lift. Although most people do this to avoid walking, it is a good habit to learn as you minimize your vulnerability risk. If you know that you will be picking up your car late at night, then the valet service provided by hotels and nightspots should be considered.
